Now, which one do you relate to?
I can relate to just about all of them. That's the truth.
And I wonder... How was life before the computer?
1. Memory was something that you lost with age.
2. An Application was for employment.
3. A Program was a TV show.
4. A Cursor used profanity.
5. A Keyboard was a piano.
6. A Web was spider's home.
7. A Virus was a flu.
8. A CD was a bank account.
9. A Hard Drive was a long trip on the road.
10.A Mouse Pad was where a mouse lived.
11. ..And if you had a 31/2 inch floppy... you just hoped nobody found out.
Hope you all have a great week!

I went through your blog.. I giggled and giggled a lot.. tears were streaming down my cheeks. Then, there was silence as truth dawned upon me. That this is true and I was scared, very very scared.
Great cartoons!! Technology has changed our lives so much.

O I love the one where the man is sitting before the computer and then afterwards...its so easy to just stay on here for hours and hours and not get up and exercise! lol.
BETTY! These pics are my life wrapped in a nutshell haha. It's so true though. What did the world do without computers before. So crazy to think about. I hope you had a lovely weekend :)
love.
I love the first cartoon, think how much i would get done if I had a washer on one side and [screw the stove] a dryer on the other..
3 1/2 inch floppy lol
It's funny because most of those terms really do have "computer" associated with them first in my mind now.
Love those cartoons too!
Yep! All of them for me, too! He he he...
Nevine
I can definitely relate to hat second picture!
Ha ha, that is too funny. Sometimes I have to tell myself - get off of the computer! Blogging is not your life! :P
Yes. That movie made in the dark ages when people used CD ROMS, called The Matrix proved to be prophetic. We now live in a virtual world.
Greetings,
After a long day, this post of your has brought much laughter and a lift of energy.
Thank you,
Egmont
Very funny! :)
I was so happy without my phone a computer during my weekend away :)
I relate to all of them:))
Great post! Thanks for the laughs!
Funny! I like the log off warning one the best... Seems very applicable to my life sometimes :)
Thank you for making my morning with this one Beth!
I love the cartoons and the current definitions. I think the washer and dryer as a computer desk is my favorite. I think I need to try that so I can keep my laundry going without taking too long of a break from my computer.
Grief it's good to be back and what a post to return to - as you say it's good to gigggle and giggle I certainly did. Many thanks for all your kind words Betty, I can't begin to tell you what a difference they made. Best wishes x.
OMG, that log-off warning was hysterical. I'm surprised I haven't seen that on my computer yet!
Funny!!
They are all great!
Freakin' hilarious, C&D! Love it! This will help me get through the day today. Thanks!

That is great! Oh, yeah, internet doesn't only change our daily rutine, it changes our shape too if we allow this:)
So very funny .........all and the last one!!!
I have the sudden urge to get up and jog around the block after that second cartoon.
These had me laughing out loud! I think that I can relate to all of these!
It is kind of sad how my generation is more familiar with computers than real life.
These say about me hehe
Funny!
Funny and cute!
i can't tell you how much i loved this post. but to show you i re-posted your pics and dedicated my whole post to yours! it really hit home and got me thinking a lot about things. thanks betty! again, a wonderful post.

Its true in many ways.
Those are so hysterical. I love the first one and how great that would make my life!
3 1/2 floppy! That cracks me up!!!!!!!! So funny, love this post!
So funny. Love the post Betty! I do wonder what I did before I played around on the Internet. It's a wonderful place to hangout and meet some great people too!
I love 50s fashion.
The Internet has changed my life much in the same way. Thanks for the giggle!
I loved this...I relate to all of them except getting bigger...that hasn't happened luckily.
much love
LOLOL
Those were too cute! I can relate to just about all of them! I can remember working as a "temp" at an office in the early-mid 90's, and hearing about the "world-wide-web" and wondering what the heck is THAT all about? Sigh.
