Creative Juices

The awesome Jacqui, over at: Wacky Jacqui' s Designs sent me an interesting e-mail the other day; She's starting her business for blog designs, (Blogger only for now) and she's doing a launch party. I'm so happy for her!
How cool to be starting her own business; Oh well, challenges
are so important to her.
I have to tell you how in love I am with creative activities and
special creative spark that ignites the entrepreneurial flame.
I love how creative she is and her taste in design is really
an attraction to me.
She's definitely a gal of great enterprise. I wish her all the best
in her success.

Please check Wacky Jacqui's Designs out and embrace
her venture.
A venture worthy of support. xx

One who's ever taken a shower has had an idea. It's the person who gets out of the shower, dries off and does something

Have a Lovely Weekend: Vacation Photos

I'd love to share a few of my vacation photos, if you'd like to see.
I was lucky enough to capture fabulous scenes forever, unique moments, gorgeous little bays, crystal blue waters and beautiful deep red and orange sunsets; with other words the spectacular beauty of Mother Nature. A beauty to behold.
A man walking on the beach.
Dad and son. Oh, so sweet!
I like sitting on a deckchair right on the beach, chatting, soaking up the sun, relaxing, reading a book in a bikini-oh yes, this is so-me. I also enjoy swimming, walking on the beach, watching a late afternoon sunset, taking photos, and moments of wow.
The sun was going down faster and faster by the minute. Sometimes sunsets make you cry..Time to go!
The beach was painted rose by the setting sun.
It has only been a short time since I've been gone but it feels like it was forever.

Here's a few more of my Vacation Photos1 , if you'd like to see.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, my darlings! xx

Update: I haven't been able to visit my favourite blogs over the past two days due to major Internet connection problems. So I do apologize and look forward to catching up on your blogs soon.

Frankly, Mrs Tomato, I Love You

Looking for something tempting and colourful, tomatoes seemed the obvious choice as willing subject.
Are you in on this tomato love fest?

I love this tomato time of year; As I can remember there is a folk song...
"there's just two things that money can't buy and that's true love and home grown tomatoes." I think of it this time of year.
"Oh, your juicy flesh is my food, your aroma is my wine and the taste of you burnt my mouth with its sweetness."
Oh, your vine-ripened sweetness!
How I love the incredible taste of biting into a just picked-up
right off the vine sun-ripened tomato!
Your tongue says to your brain.." Oh my goodness, that's good.
Tomato is a fruit and one of the most treasured gifts from the
garden.
Did you know that it has been called everything from the
Moor's Apple to the Wolf Peach, to the Love Apple?
This last one stemming from the French..when they began to call
tomatoes pommes d'amour, apples of love.
Shots of mayonnaise, olive paste (tapenade), and tomato and
cucumber slices. Yummy!

I so love tomatoes! How about you? xx

Albert Kahn the Visionary

Albert Kahn (1860-1940) was amillionaire Parisian banker and philanthropist who in 1909 launched a monumentally ambitious project:
To produce a colour photographic record of the world in the early
20th century just on the brink of being lost forever.
He strongly believed that showing the diversity of the world and
its inhabitants would promote cross-cultural understanding and
peace.
He called it "The Archives of the Planet".
Over 72,000 colour photographs. More than 180,000 metres of
films. Hundreds of letters, testimonies and diaries.
An internationalist and pacifist, Albert Kahn believed that he
could use the new autochrome- the world's first portable,
true-colour photographic process. The autochrome was invented
in 1907 by the Lumiere Brothers- Pioneers of Cinema and Colour
Photography.

Based on potato starch, it enabled the first user-friendly colour
photography. Kahn was one of the first people to exploit the
potential of colour photography.
He was definitely a man capable of amazing grace.
A colour photo of a river in Ireland.
Kahn's team of photographers documented many world cultures,
including Ireland's Celtic villages, the late days of the
Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman empires, and the birth of new
states in Europe and the Middle East.

Hand painted portrait photo.
I have always been fascinated by old cameras, and old photos
make me chuckle.

Here's The Wonderful World of Albert Kahn. And I hope you'll love
this remarkable video as much as I did. xx
