Banana Peach Smoothie.
I have been having fruit smoothies almost every day for the last six months for breakfast and my body thanks me. Smoothies is a great and enjoyable way for me to get the vitamins and nutrients.
This was perfect for a light breakfast that was a breeze to make!
Yield: Makes about 3 servings.
1 1/2 cups fresh apple juice
3/4 ripe banana, peeled and chopped
1 ripe peach, peeled, pitted, and chopped
1 tablespoon nonfat Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons flaxseed oil
2 teaspoons honey (optional)
6 ice cubes
In a blender, combine the apple juice, banana, peach and yogurt and puree until smooth.
Add the flaxseed oil and blend briefly to incorporate.
Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.
