"Listen to your heart. It knows all things, because it came from the Soul of the World, and it will one day return there."
"Why do we have to listen to our hearts?" the boy asked, when they had made camp that day.
"Because, whenever your heart is, that is where you'll find your treasure."
"But my heart is agitated," the boy said. "It has its dreams, it gets emotional, and it's become passionate over a woman of the desert. It asks things of me, and it keeps me from sleeping many nights, when I'm thinking about her."
"Well, that's good. Your heart is alive. Keep listening to what it has to say."
To be continued...
I find the above excerpt from Paulo Coelho's book, The Alchemist, to be incredibly inspiring. Most definitely something I needed to read today. Thought I'd share it with you. xx
P.S. This is the fascinating story of Santiago, a shepherd boy who dreams of travelling the world to seek the most wonderful treasures known to man.

Beautiful, and so true. Sometimes we have to remember this, well at least me, and very good advice right now. Sometimes we force ourselves to do things that maybe instinctively just aren't the right path. Lovely.

ReplyDeleteGreat detail in those pomegranite pics. It is a chore to eat one, but the juice is sooooo good!
ReplyDeleteThe text of this post is a tricky subject to comment on because on the one hand, I think I get the point of what people are trying to say, but on the other hand, Jeremiah 17:9 says "The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked..."
Nice words!
