Traditional cushions and tapestry from Brussels, Belgium. So lovely!
Feathers are being used to lamp shades, curtain trimmings and cushions?
Cushions are becoming artworks in their own right, adorned with elaborate passementerie and rushing?
Carpets with borders are on the increase, especially on staircases?
Picture frames are becoming almost as important as the pictures within them, with sculpted gesso used to create modern, three-dimensional effects?
When it comes to decorating a house, I so love a sort of "marriage" of classic and contemporary design.
Hope you have a great week, my dears! xx
It is one of life's greatest joy to be surrounded with beautiful things! xxx
ReplyDeleteI have a sudden desire to redecorate my living room. Love the frame on that mirror.
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspirational post. Funny the things that are considered true classics.
ReplyDeleteI wish my house resembled something in those beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteI bought a vacuum today. My house isn't stylish, but it is clean.
Maybe one day...(sigh)...
I love the pillows and square mirror and the ottomans! The tassels are neat as well. Thanks for the great inspiration! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day my friend! Big hugs! ;o)
ReplyDeleteAttractive decoration!
ReplyDeleteI am so bad at decorating....
ReplyDeleteI am not a good decorator of home.. I love more empty places around me. But life is colorful because I actually have a marriage of classic (hubby) and contemporary (guess). LOL
ReplyDeleteI think I like a combination of styles too. I like modern a lot, but not too stark or cold.
ReplyDeleteIs someone feeling 'nesty'? :)
ReplyDeletethis post is so ... inspiring !!!
ReplyDeletewaht beautiful place you've made !!
I love those first tassles, and the mirror and everything after it...beautiful, I may have to redecorate now;)
ReplyDeletethanx for the inspiring post my wonderful friend, have a magic day;)
Feather everywhere, clothes, home interior. Went to a feather wedding just last weekend. Lots of sneezes were heard..bride's bouquet in peacock was breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful. I generally don't have such rich things in my house, as my pets would have them destroyed in minutes. (not because they chew, but because they rough-house everywhere. They don't get the concept of "play outside" or even "on the floor." lol)
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to dream though. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration.
Wow. I can't even look at my house after looking at these pictures. Perhaps it is time to change things up!
