Barbican Love

I hate it when my mind won't shut up when I'm trying to sleep. But there are times I love lying down at night thinking about those moments you just want to re-live.

How about you? Do you feel this way sometimes?

Here are a few highlights of my favourite pictures from my last
trip to Plymouth Barbican, Devon, England, if you'd like to see.
Barbican is the name now given to the western and northern
sides of the old harbour area of Plymouth, Devon, England.
It is such a spectacular area, preserving the medieval street layouts and many of the Tudor Dwellings.

I fell in love not just with the town, but with Plymouth people as well; they are unbelievably polite and inspiring in the way they live their lives.
The sky is grey, there's a chill in the air, the fresh, salty scent of the sea...is all around; and the songs of the seagulls fill my ears.
Plymouth Barbican Swing Bridge.
Here's a beautiful song. Jonathan Livingston Seagull-Sky Bird
by Neil Diamond...I found this video to be quite peaceful and
inspiring. I feel refreshed just watching it. xx

  5. Betty:

Cannot get enough of your drool-worthy pictures. My mind also resembles yours. Most of the times I am in some far away land visualizing people, food, cultures and love. The secondary world is so tantalizing and lovely!

    Joy always,

  11. I especially like that first photo. And do you know, I've never been to Plymouth. There is a train goes all the way from Edinburgh to Plymouth and it passes through Leeds but I have never travelled on it all the way to its terminus.

Nice photos. I agree with you about the night time thoughts. Although it is fun at the time, it totally kills the next morning.

  20. Those pictures are beautiful! And yes I struggle shutting my brain off all the time. But it isn't full of breathtaking pics like these....more like to-do lists, stressors, worries, random thoughts. Makes me need naps w/the babes during the day.

  37. I often think of my favorite vacation while I'm falling asleep. It's on the Atlantic Ocean and the waves are so beautiful and calming. I wish I could be there all the time.

Your photos are gorgeous! I think I'd like to visit there, too!

  38. Absolutely! The advantage you have are your photos. Just looking at them takes me somewhere else, somewhere away from my own presence.

The places in your photos makes me want to day dream, to just stop the daily toil of my day and just...day dream....sigh*

    Beautiful....

  43. I hadn't thought about walking, in my memory, through a fond place. That's a very good idea. "The Barbican" the old defenses, how amazing! When my mind races, I pray a mental list of everyone I know and have ever known; just asking God for his blessing of each one, thinking of them with thanks and love.

  44. Stunning photos! I hate it when my mind wants to think and I want to sleep!

  48. Yes I do, most of the time. There are times that I need to take a pill for me to sleep, especially if the following day is a day shift that I need to focus on taking care of a critical patient.

You got lovely photos Betty! Thanks for sharing.

By the way, happy new year! Better late than never :) . Thank you for visiting me. Apologies for not visiting you for quite sometime.

    Have a nice day!

  57. I meant to tell you earlier. There's a great short story by William Saroyan called, "The Parsley Garden". The protagonist (Saroyan as a child I'm sure.)thinks so loudly in bed at night that his Armenian immigrant mother leans her head in the door and says, "Shadup, shadup...go to sleep now. Brilliant story from a great writer. Each Sunday on my blog I publish creative writing. Drop by on Sundays. By the way, do you write as well as you photograph? Do you have friends who would like to be posted? Thanks for droppinng by earlier.

  59. Your composition and framing skills are still improving nicely Betty! 1 and 2 and the third from last are really good. Have a look at them and see what makes them different from the others. Lead in lines, balance, simplicity, telling a story - these are all the things that make them work. Nice!

Ugg boots have come a lengthy way from its Australian surfers beginning plus a comfy sheepskin boot for around the residence. Ugg boots have grow to be an international phenomenon with international stars like Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Moss and Eva Longoria large fans. Not just for the ladies either, NFL football star quarterback Tom Brady endorses Ugg boots too.

Why are they so preferred, chic sheepskin ] Just they're just so comfortable on your Bailey Button Ugg Boots Sale
. Getting natural from sheepskin they've the same properties as wool, cool in summer and warm in winter. Thus you may have a natural foot temperature regulator. Quick to put on and comfy Top quality matters here, as an example the Australian Merino sheep which has a very fine wool class grading. Merino fibers will let your skin breathe superior and be even more comfy on your feet.

When you slip an UGG boot on your foot, you'll never would like to take it off. Like walking on air, Classic UGG Boots Paisley

When you set up software on your computer, some important records are retailerd within your computer's registry. However, when you take away or unset up free registry cleaner, sometimes those records remain inside of your registry. Maybe the software was inadequately created or your computer had a hard time unset uping the software properly. In either case, the end-result is that you have data in your registry that are no longer needed.
