London, Cheers! + Have an Amorous Weekend

Congratulations, Will and Kate!

Aah, I remember last November. I made plans to spend my vacation at home, but God had other plans
A good friend of mine called me to invite me to go and spend a few days in England. So, off to London I went.
This was not my first time in London but I remember I squealed with delight.
Not only was I going to visit one of the most magnificent cities in the world, but I was also going to meet with my good friend and spend as much time with him as I possibly could.
O here are a few London photographs, if you'd like to see.

The River Thames flows through southern England. It is so fascinating at dawn.

Jubilee Walkway.

The Victoria Memorial is a memorial to Queen Victoria. This sculpture stands in the centre of the Queen's Gardens in front of Buckingham Palace.

Buckingham Palace.

Westminster Abbey.

St. James's Park in Westminster, central London; the oldest of the Royal Parks of London. The park has a small lake, with two islands.
A bridge across the lake affords a view of Buckingham Palace framed by trees and fountains.

So I found myself in London and I loved it; it was warm and sunny.
I spent about fifteen days or so visiting all of my favourite spots and sights; seriously, what could be better than fifteen days in London with your good friend.
It was the best thing ever!
Overall the journey was totally fascinating.

Cheers, my darlings! hope you have a delightful, amorous weekend! xx

More London photographs here and here .

Well, Betty, the whole world was watching some of the scenes from your pictures, today. I see this as a tribute to the royal wedding.

Woohoo.

Joy always,
Susan

thanks for sharing those lovely views so i don't have to watch any of the footage of 'the' wedding today. :)

At the risk of offending other European visitors to my blog, I think London is the penultimate of the European cities that I have seen. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

Would love to see it, but it's so far away and involves long distance flying. That rules me out. Lovely pics.

Hi Betty, Too bad you couldn't be in London today to see the Royal Wedding... Kate's dress was gorgeous...

Great pictures from a beautiful place... I'd love to go to London someday... I want to see Westminster Abbey. (I have a thing for the big beautiful churches and cathedrals.)

Thanks for sharing your wonderful visit.
Hugs,
Betsy

I think of all the hoopla over the wedding of the decade, I really really liked Pippa's gowns best! Both for the wedding AND the after ceremony party.

What a treasure filled post...all are super great!! Very enjoyable today. Very much so.

Thanks for stopping by yesterday. Here's my link for today if you'd care to stop by and say 'howdy'!!

Gorgeous pictures, it was like taking a tour of London, I haven't been there in about 10 years! We watched the wedding here on TV through Sky Italia, so impressive! I loved the dress Kate wore, and Pippa's one was splendid. I found you through my friend rednomadoz and I'm following you from Trapani, Sicily. You would find lots of places to photograph here, that's for sure:) starting with the gorgeous view from Mount Erice.

Love your Superior Snaps! London IS a lovely city, isn't it? Don't think I'd want to be in town for all the royal wedding hubbub, though. BTW, you and I have something in common...I'm featuring Wills and Kate today, too!!

Hi Betty, thanks for the good London memories (though have to say I've heard enough about the $30mill wedding--my partner was up at 1 in the a.m. to see it + constant coverage for the next two days...).
