White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies have always been high on my list.
I thought I'd treat you to a bit of a random post today...positive randomness I love.
Summer memories never fade away...
I grow herbs in small pots outside my kitchen. They stay neighborhood cat free...they don't have much to do with them!
{Photo of Bruges taken on my Brussels trip three years ago. Bruges is a charming little town in Belgium.}
{It really feels like Fall outside!}
{Be the person your dog thinks you are.}
I firmly believe that it's really useful to get exposed to randomness from time to time...try new things, travel, talk to people, search for new friends. The more we are exposed to randomness (and take the opportunity), the wider our perspective becomes and the more confident about our own ability to deal with life's challenges we become.
All too often, I found myself spending more time exploring the unknown, thinking, exposing myself to interesting things, taking in new experiences. Somehow randomness fires inspiration. Eventually.
I'd love to hear, do you seek out randomness to stay stimulated? Or do you tend to go the routine route?
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xx
P.S. I've finally reached the fifth step today. Yipee!
I stalled on the first photo when I smelled those cookies.. yum... and i like all your random shots especially the church view and that sweet face at the end.. i would so love to become what my dogs think i am and what they are.. kind, loving, forgiving, never holds a grudge, doesn't yell back if i raise my voice.
ReplyDeleteI am totally routine minded in what i do... but i love doing different things, but my daily life is by the clock.
that cartoon at the end is me completely. anything new i try to learn, i go through the I can't do it as the first step and I won't do it as the 2nd and on up until i complete it.
when i learned photo shop i did the first two steps over and over and when i waned my real estate license i would cry and say i can't learn this... but i DID.
I don't search for new things often.Most times when I tried to change my routine the things got worse so I prefer to do what I do usually.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like cookies! The dog is so lovely,☺
ReplyDeletenice weekend

I like your idea of randomness in this post - especially that first photo of the cookies. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI tend to let myself get in ruts, but then randomness seems to find ME and put an end to the rut!
Hi Betty, Happy Fall to you.. Love the photo of the church... NEAT!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a cookie lover --and would rather have cookies than cake or pies.... YUM.
Love the diagram of the Steps... That is neat... I did that with losing weight... Now --I can say that "Yes, I did it".... BUT--I need to be careful not to go back down those steps again... ha
Hugs,
Betsy
I am all about randomness - so love this post. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, what lovely photos. I wish I had one of those cookies on this snowy day in CO! I'm going to show your steps to my Grandchildren - a good reminder for us all. I'm in the throes of remodeling - complete randomness!
ReplyDeleteHello my friend! Hope all is well your way. Is that your beautiful dog? My mother's husband has a pillow that has that same quote about being the person your dog thinks you are! :) I've missed chatting with you and have been sad you've not had time to stop by my blog and say hello lately. Please stop by when you get a chance! Big big hugs my BBFF!!! Have a wonderful weekend. PS - pictures are lovely as usual! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, dear goodness, white chocolate is my weakness! A lovely collection of photos here, but the one I paused to admire the most was the butterfly on the glass. Love that!

Does white chocolate actually have any real chocolate at all. I like it, but it's just creamy sweetness. I seem to be a routine person.

ReplyDeleteYes! Serendipity rocks and so do you.
ReplyDeleteAloha
Las galletas tienen muy buena pinta y por los ingredientes seguro que están muy buenas.
ReplyDeleteUn feliz fin de semana.
Such gorgeous photos. The pink rose almost looks edible! I seek out randomness. Road trips, conventions, weird stores, whatever. I think you can probably see that in my photography! I do love a routine thing during the week, although it doesn't really mesh well with me. I guess I'm more random than routine at heart.
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look delicious, I really enjoy cranberries and the town of Bruges looks so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos all of them and your cute little dog, I love the randomness you have chosen.
I like randomness, I like to explore new places and see what I shall find.
A great post as always dear Betty, have a wonderful weekend!
hugs and kisses

I am a little more random that I think I should be, but it seems I always end up there. I might as well enjoy the ride! Outstanding photo of your sweet dog here.

The effects of that fading picture are spectacular. Thanks for your inspiring words about the inspiration of randomness. I go random all the time =). I like your positive take on it. It does lead us to unexpected creativity.
ReplyDeleteBe well, dear friend.

Love those cookies - such a great, fun post & blog!
ReplyDeleteI really like randomness, and this post is just about perfect as far as I'm concerned. I must say that the cookies look delicious.
ReplyDeletePrzypadkowości nie do końca lubię. Lubię coś sobie zaplanować i wykonać. Zaplanowane było na przykład zobaczenie Brugii i byłam tam. Przypadkowo można było zrobić zdjęcie motyla. Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
ReplyDeleteRandomness not really like it. I like something the plan and execute. Was scheduled for example see Bruges, and I was there. Incidentally, you could take a picture of a butterfly. Yours sincerely.
Such great and special photos! Like a lot!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend you too!
I never had that combination of white chocolate and cranberry, they sounds (and looks) yummy. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteI never heard that combination of white chocolate and cranberry, that sounds really good. I really like your photos!
ReplyDeleteAll the images are beautiful, I love the chapel in fall with the golden colors. Your chart is really neat, a friend of mine a few weeks ago said "when you say you'll try, its the same as a well planned lie". Thanks for visiting.
