Today (Friday, October 4, 2013) is World Animal Day. The mission of World Animal Day is to
-Celebrate animal life in all its forms,
-Celebrate humankind's relationship with the animal kingdom,
-Acknowledge the diverse roles that animals play in our lives-from being our companions, supporting and helping us, to bringing a sense of wonder into our lives.
-Acknowledge and be thankful for the way in which animals enrich our lives.

I didn't knew that this date is dedicated to animals.I like animals especially these that grow up in house with the people that have them but this period are happening many bad accidents in people around us that these accidents care me more.

Lovely kitties Betty, my kitties have been so funny lately; can't stop taking photos of them. That little alpaca is so cute. I had some Italian friends who had alpacas and bred them. I remember their little chocolate calf one year, they called him Cappuccino! How sweet is that?

The photo of the kittens is wonderful. They look as if they were ready to just pop off the page and chase something, especially the yellow one. So mischievous looking. Loved the video, too.

My hubby and I live with our 3 cats. We used to have 10 at one point. Many of them crossed the rainbow bridge due to illness or old age. Frank, our eldest cat, lived almost up to 18 years old when he passed away.
We love and miss him so much!

Where I come from birth, the Andes Mountains, there are many alpacas there, where their original natural habitat is.
The alpaca wool is very fine, warm and gorgeous. My hubby gave me a ruana in black and white for my birthday made of alpaca wool.

ReplyDeleteLove the post. We adopted two tortoise-shell kitties (twin girls) a couple of months ago...they're much bigger now. So loving and so much fun even though they tend to tear up the house! One (Cassandra) has bonded with Lois and one (Cleopatra) with me. In fact, at this moment, Cleo is sleeping in my top left desk drawer, which is her drawer and once in awhile she lets me put some stuff in it! :)
