I am so annoyed! I think it's weird that there is such a double standard regarding blond hair women specifically.
In contemporary popular culture it is often stereotyped that men find blond women more attractive than women with other hair colour and it is believed that these women may enjoy increased attention of men.

Stereotype, myth or fact?
It is fact that on all movies there it must be at least one blond hair woman if not more though.
Furthermore, Alfred Hitchcock preferred to cast blond women for major roles in his films, (as he believed that the audience would suspect them the least) hence the term "Hitchcock blonde".

I, personally, do not believe in the stereotype. But sadly, there will always be stereotypes in society.

At the same time, women with blond hair are often made fun of with "dumb blonde jokes". It's like you cannot have blond hair, be beautiful, and be smart at the same time.
It seems like society sends mixed messages to the young ones.

I really dislike " blonde jokes" and wonder why people still think they are funny and politically correct when so many other jokes would be considered a hate crime.

It's just so random...who started the "dumb blonde jokes", anyway?

This post is sort of one of my everyday rebellious ways. I take a stand and refrain from jokes tinged with such references.

Isn't it comforting to know that there is a listening ear out there in the blogosphere? What say, dear readers? xx

A Quickie!

Hello my blogging friends. Sorry I've not been around much lately. I have been having major connection problems with my Internet provider.
Technology, love it or hate it... can't do without it. I think I've finally got a stable Internet connection; it really does look like my Internet connection woes are over with.
Let's hope I have not spoken to soon!

I can't wait to catch up with you all.
My dears, hope you have a wonderful Tuesday! xx

Emollient Food

I have a habit of using this emollient food-organic white oats- for pampering myself and I find it wonderful for my dry skin.
Here's an easy tip for smoothing skin and a pretty simple technique:

I mix 2 tsp. organic white oats with a little milk to make a stiff paste.
Then I rub into skin to soften. I rinse with lukewarm water.

Do you know any tips or remedies for smoothing skin using food, my dears?
I'd love to hear. Thanks so much. xx

I Want a Guitar Boat

After the Sea-Ship.

...After the whistling winds; after the white-gray sails, taut to their spars and ropes...
After the Sea-Ship...

By Walt Whitman

Today has become unexpectedly busy, my friends, but I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I hope you all had wonderful weekends.
Oh my gosh, this video clip idea is quite cool and inspiring...what a lovely song, too! "Make You Happy" by Josh Pyke.
He's on Parramata River in Sydney; you can see the Sydney Tower in the background.
It's not the soft mellow song that makes me happy. It's that lovely boat.
Who wouldn't want their own giant guitar boat?

How about sailing the seas on that amazing guitar boat and keep it afloat forever? xx
