French Toast.
If you're in the mood for something a little sweet, this is your treat!
french toast with maple syrup
A very easy and tasty recipe-quite possibly the best recipe for French toast out there!
Not only that, but...
this is practically no-fail. Just a few ingredients, a bowl and a pan.
Since the only ingredients in this recipe are bread, butter, eggs, vanilla, milk and cinnamon (ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen), you can whip it up whenever sugar cravings call.

the best french toast you'll ever have
I've made this many times for small gatherings and everyone loved it! I think I'm just a sucker for French toast! They're tender, eggy and syrupy and taste even better when eaten in my pajamas on a lazy Sunday morning.
I love when simple flavours come together to create something truly delicious and oh-so-good.
French Toast

Serves 6

Ingredients

3 large eggs (1 egg for every two slices of bread.)
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
6 (1-inch-thick) slices of challah, white bread or hearty white sandwich bread
Marple syrup, for serving
Powdered sugar or fruit with whipped cream, for serving (optional)

Directions

In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until well blended and pour into a shallow wide dish.
Heat 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, so that both sides are fully coated-but not completely soaked or your French toast will be soggy.
Shake off the excess before frying.
Place the bread slices onto the hot pan, and cook on both sides until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
Wipe skillet, and repeat with remaining butter, vegetable oil, and bread.
Serve immediately with maple syrup.
