Chasing Flowers + Have a Flowery Weekend!

These are a few flowers from my little garden...
Absolutely loved seeing those beautiful bubbles of light from the sunshine in some of these photos.
It's late spring already. Things have been ridiculously hectic around here. I've just been extremely busy lately, folks.
In fact, working eight hour days at the office, then another two when I get back home in the evening and yet another one hour before breakfast.
Hopefully it will ease off soon...
So, as spring blooms typically last until late spring or early summer, today I finally had the pleasure of hanging around the back yard, carrying out some deep breathing and enjoying spring while it lasts...
I think I deserve it!

What are you up to this weekend? I will be spending time with family and outside of the house, enjoying the beautiful spring days...(you should be, too!).

Eating fresh, juicy strawberries in the back yard.
Enjoying the fabulous, crisp weather outdoors. Oh, and I was so thankful to get to see these beautiful  poppies!
Strolling through meadows of wildflowers.
Spring flowers always bring me joy with their bright colours and lovely fragrances.
The late afternoon sun makes for a lot of light and shadow-just nice!
Chasing spring flowers to cheer myself up; enjoying spring while it lasts...
And remember, if we focus less on ourselves and more on the beauty around us, is the best way to rid ourselves of gloom, dejection, and moodiness. Don't you think?

Hope you have a wonderful long weekend! (And a Happy Memorial Day!) xx

Sharing with Today's Flowers , and  Macro Monday.

Are the strawberries in the garden "from the garden"? The flowers are one small reminder of a world of blessings that are completely independent of us. They are not our doing. They are grace, and they surround us every day.

Some things take so long
But how do i explain
When not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Your eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Now, isn't it a pity

Your beautiful photos and post brought George Harrison's song to mind.

Have a great (and slower) week Betty.

The lovely bubbles of light is called bokeh. You did a great job at creating a bokeh background. You have a good philosophy for cheering oneself by smelling the flowers and appreciating their beauty. Lantana has a pretty flower but we are not allowed to grow it as it has become a noxious weed here in our country. When birds drop its seeds in our forests it takes over and prevents the native plants from growing.
