The Neoclassical Buildings of Syros, Greece

Syros is a Greek island in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. Ermoupoli is the capital of the island and of the Cyclades. These houses and buildings in Ermoupoli date from between 1870 and 1880. Aren't they beautiful? xx

Beautiful buildings!! I would really love to visit Greece. As a relatively "new" country, the United States really doesn't have much in the way of "ancient". lol! I have a love of old things but I don't think I have a true appreciation of something ancient.

Me:
Those buildings were built since Greece was established as a state. (1822-1823).
