Who's In + Have a Fun Weekend!

{Wine of the mind.}

What are you up to this weekend? I am slowly getting myself back in the routine after a nice, refreshing vacation (read: staycation). All in all our holiday was really lovely.
How have you been, my dear friends?

Share a glass of wine with your partner or a friend tonight. Have fun. Life is not only about work.
By the way, do you like beer or wine? Just curious.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Cheers! xx

My weekend is Friday. We are finishing up a great week of Vacation Bible School. I'm teaching the older kids who are also "helpers" (they're junior high age. Then if the weather improves, in the afternoon, I'll go to Palouse Falls and walk around. Saturday is my sermon writing day and Sunday is worship in the morning and naptime and unwinding in the afternoon.

Hi Betty, Sounds like you have had a great summer --and vacation. We will be on vacation next week--but it will be a short one to the mountains in North Carolina...

We are not beer drinkers --but do like some wine every now and again....

Hugs,
Betsy

Sometimes a staycation beats the hustle and bustle of a 'vacation'.

As for beer or wine - I'm ambidextrous - I can drink either ;>)

Enjoy your weekend. We're relaxin' at home before travelling over the next 2 weeks.

Welcome back!

I'm in! :-) Many of my friends do not drink at all, and I will not imbibe to excess. I have a self-imposed 2-drink limit. Off-the-cuff, my preference is dry red wines, but of course it depends on what we're pairing it with. But this weekend, I enjoyed a couple of beers.

This weekend I discovered Magic Hat's #9, the "Not Quite Pale Ale." It is a light-bodied brew with a mild citrus blend. There is a hint of fruit up front, and it does not have a bitter aftertaste, so they've successfully blended the apricot and hopps.

I also tried Blue Moon's Agave Nectar Ale. This one is also light-bodied and sweet. Agave is a honey-like sweetener. I drank a bottle after working on the back lawn, and I should have used water to quench my thirst. I like my beer very cold--almost frozen, and this one was not cold enough, yet.

My wife though... She only likes a very few sweet wines, and doesn't like beer at all. It's funny that our tastes differ so much.

I had a great weekend and I usually do. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay-cation. I will drink and enjoy just about every drink known to man.
Overall, a glass of beer that is almost freezing is my favorite.

This is a great photo Betty, so cheery. I enjoy a glass of wine when I go out with friends. I only developed a taste of beer in my later years, at parties on hot days in the summer when a nice cold beer would be offered, and now my husband and I share an occasional bottle of beer in the evenings.

EG CameraGirl said...

I like staycations! You get to sleep in your own bed at night.

I like an occasional glass of Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay. :)
