Happy May Day 2020!

Happy May Day, everyone! I hope y'all are doing well staying safe in quarantine. In the times of Coronavirus...but cannot keep Spring from coming.

May day is a national, public holiday in many countries across the world usually celebrated on May 1 every year. It is an ancient European Festival of Spring. Also, May Day is a celebration of laborers and the working classes, in most cases as "Labor Day", "International Workers Day" (Wiki).

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Explore and enjoy nature in your own backyard! xx

Perfect Pick-Me-Up

A beautiful pick-me-up bunch of Roses.

From time to time, I get a little down, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. More often than not, I wake up feeling anxious and stressed...feeling like I just want to curl up under the covers and not face the day ahead. (Morning blues?). I think it's because I'm not doing well with my goals and I often fail to live up to my standards.
I'm not as disciplined as I'd like.
I leave small personal tasks undone...
I fail in eating as healthy as I want.

One of the practical ways for overcoming anxiety that works best for me is: Looking at cut flowers first thing in the morning. Flowers in your home have positive psychological benefits. They can help boost your energy levels and improve your mood. Flowers make me happy. I hope they make you, guys, happy too.

Hope you have a beautiful weekend! xx

Photo Adventure Is Calling!

There's no better way to spend the weekend than turning off, heading out and capturing all the beauty around you.

I do love spring. I love this season of longer days, new beginnings and blooming flowers. If you're anything like me this time of year makes you want to reach for your camera and capture some nature photos so I've rounded up a few of my favorite photos I shot during this month.
Let these nature photos inspire you to get out there and capture something truly amazing. What are you waiting for?

Hope you have a fabulous weekend! xx

Life's Little Pleasures

Flowers make me incredibly happy. Hope they do the same for you.
Embracing the winter chill.

I like winter, despite the cold weather and snow. I love curling up on my sofa with a cup of hot chocolate. I love curling up in a warm, cozy sweater. I love to photograph winter landscapes. Need I say more?
This week has been cold - like ridiculously cold. I'll be focusing on staying warm this weekend with fuzzy socks, cozy blankets and hot chocolate.

Hope you have a great weekend! Be safe and stay warm! xx

Sitting by the window and savoring my favorite flavor of coffee.
Something about this little scene way calling me to shoot it.
Watching the clouds form beautiful shapes. It's never the same show twice.
We all need a little magic in our lives, right?
Spending a few days in a lovely cottage.

I love ivy-covered houses. There's something completely medieval and amazing about ivy on houses. Well, you would never have to paint again! ;)

A warm bowl of soup on a lazy Friday night after a hard day. Nothing beats the comfort-giving qualities of a warm bowl of soup.
French Toast. There is nothing nicer than sitting at home in my pajamas and eating one of my favorite desserts. Yum!
Hunting out interesting reflections. Capturing outside window reflections...glass can be a lot of fun to work with.
Getting outdoors for a long walk on a cold day.

Good and Lovely Things

Hello everyone! Hope your holidays were safe, happy, and full of great memories. Make this New Year your best year yet!
new year's resolution card
This might seem like a good thing! Ah, resolutions are usually difficult to stick to. Don't you think?

As we entered the new year, I've decided to make only one resolution. My resolution is to stay committed. Stay committed to my (attainable) goals. Stay committed to my dreams. Stay committed to things that will further my photography projects. Stay committed to the things I love and value.
So my word that I want to focus on for the year is commit. Truth be told, without committing, we can't achieve anything.
