What Else? + Have a Lovely Spring Weekend

What are you up to this weekend? I'll be enjoying some beautiful spring weather, and will definitely making this light and fluffy unbaked cheesecake with cream, cream cheese, and cherry pie filling.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend (and I wish everyone that celebrates a very Happy Easter!)
In the Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches, Easter eggs are dyed red to represent the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the Cross.

P.S. Life has been keeping me pretty busy. I haven't been able to do as much visiting as I'd like to! I may be a bit slow with my visits...my apologies. xx

Ghost-Like Flowers + Have a Rosy Weekend!

I'd like to share with you what made me happy today:

*Walking up, realizing it's the weekend, and curling up for another thirty minutes of sleep.

*Sitting by the window and savouring my favourite flavour of coffee.

*The joy of watching a baby smile.

*Finding music that speaks to my soul.
Speaking of which, here's a beautiful and inspirational song. "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life."
I hope you like it as much as I did.

Faded Rose.

What made you happy today?

Have an "everything is looking rosy" kind of weekend!

Beautiful Ranunculus. (Buttercups.)

I leave you with this one. Thanks to Marijke, bottom flower is (Buttercup) Ranunculus . (Mystery solved!)
I am pretty darn smitten with Ranunculus Asiaticus right now.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Happy Easter and Passover! xx

Five Likes Tuesday

So when I need a quick reminder I find quotations helpful.
My grandmother always used to tell me this: "If you have a lemon day keep sweet, and don't let the lemons get to you... maybe the next will be a glowing day!"
Tesco Snack Melton Mowbray mini Pork Pies.
They are chewy, luscious, and dangerously delicious. Once you've tasted these pies, nothing else will suffice!

A pork pie is a traditional British meat pie; it consists of chopped pork and pork jelly sealed in a hot water crust pastry.
It is normally eaten cold as a snack and it tastes really, really good! I could so fancy one now!
't Minnewater Tea-Room/Creperie in Bruges, Belgium. All I can say is that I seriously had one of the most delicious Blueberry waffles with Blueberry syrup there.

{At this point, just wanted to say that I like the way Americans mix sweet with savoury, so it is entirely normal to see chocolate pancakes with maple syrup served with bacon.
I just love American breakfasts!}
Aged Parmigiano-Reggiano (Parmesan) cheese. This is so good; very flavourful and so delicious.

Not sure what this delicate flower is, but I sure love it!
Does anyone know?

What are your five favourite things from this past week? I'd love to hear. xx

But Hurry! + Have a Blissful Weekend

"But hurry, let's entwine ourselves as one, our mouth broken, our soul bitten by love, so time discovers us safely destroyed..."

Federico Garthia Lorca is considered one of Spanish greatest poets and dramatists.
I like Federico Garthia Lorca and I'd highly recommend his work to anyone interested in poetry, drama,  Spanish Literature, but mostly to anyone interested in people daring to live outside the box.

Well, what are you up to this weekend? I'm going to spend the weekend relaxing and reading Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba (Spanish: La Casa de Bernarda Alba), a drama about women in villages of Spain.

Hope you have a wonderful Spring weekend! xx

P.S. Photos of the beautiful, delightful, peaceful English countryside. (South Devon, England. November 2010.)

Update: As I'm visiting your blogs today I can't leave a comment; they are all being rejected. Is anyone else having that problem?

Thank You So Much!

First off, I want to say that I was so touched by all of your lovely comments, your prayers and get well wishes for my sister from my last post. I cannot express how much I appreciate all of you.
I may never get to meet all of you physically, but that doesn't mean you aren't as important to me as my friends in my real world.

I am pleased to report that our prayers, your prayers were answered; my sister's fever is now gone, but her eczema hasn't totally disappeared. However, it did improve and she's feeling better!

Thank you all, again, for your kind words and get well wishes. I just hope the future holds brighter things for all of us.

I brought some anemones full of the spring joys just for you all! xx

My Sister Is Ill

To all my readers: You might have noticed that I've not been around much lately. No, I haven't quit blogging. The real reason why I have been M.I.A lately is that my sister, Jenny, got sick with a high fever eczema out of the blue, and I've been looking after her for the past few days.
I just wanted to let you all know what's really going on over here.

I apologize for not being able to get back to you and/or comment on your blogs, and I am sorry I haven't written sooner, but I'm not in the mood to blog...really.
I am very sad and worried about my sister...we pray and hope she gets better soon!

So, all there is to say is that I hope you are all doing well.
My apologies...any replies may take a while, but I will get back to you eventually.
Do take care. xx

Get well, Jenny, please. I love you!

Have a Great Weekend!

I brought this Bone China milk jug home from one of my vacations in London. I'm still not quite sure why I love this one. Maybe it's because of its simple shape; I think in a wide variety of shapes and styles the simple is always better.

What are you up to this weekend? I just feel like lounging at home, cooking my favourite meal, and renting those movies that I've always wanted to watch but never had the chance to.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xx
