beauitful shots, all of them, i especailly like the feet shots, a lot and the man sleeping with all the bags around him. i am wondering where you were hanging from on the from above? a balcony? a glass elevator? love those shots to. the quote is so true. i like that very much
I really like the quote.Sometimes I tend to take the common things for granted, but what if I had never seen them before.Hmm,makes me want to pay closer attention to every little detail.
Those are the best kinds of photos! I never think to take random ones like that but need to do it more often! Hope you are doing well my friend! Love ya and miss you! xoxoxo
really great image of the people from above. my favourite photographer is Martin Parr (so annoyed I missed a lecture he gave recently at Kingston Uni, anyway...), he did a set of images of individual people from above, really outlines the crown/forehead/nose features.
also i like the homeless person photo, in the winter in london i kept seeing homeless people with really cool hats !
I love to travel though I not been outside my homeland India... But then there is so much to see here that one lifetime is not enough to see whole of India!! Came through Petty Witters blog, you have a wonderful space here, will come here often. Have a lovely day:-)
Jesus said, He who has ears to hear, let him hear." and that goes for letting our eyes see, as well. Too often we just don't. These pictures of yours remind us to see. Thanks!
These pictures are great captures of people in all shapes and sizes! I'm not a good observer of people, but my husband is, and you are obviously one too!
Very interesting people and places ! Travel is always an adventure and an opportunity to meet others - and funny thing is that people are the same the world over, in a different sort of way.
Having my kids helped me open my eyes again because they haven't seen "it" before. It helps me not take things for granted. I shouldn't have needed children to remind me of this, but I'm being honest.
I'm so bummed Betty! The only pictures that are showing up for some reason are the ones of the feet walking on the stone walkway and the homeless person!!!
I love the way you captured the everyday, but in a special way. It is fun to take the "common" and turn it to allow what can become mundane to be seen with new eyes. Humans are infinitely fun to watch!
There are so many places I would love to visit. It seems like there is never enough time or money for exotic travels though. (At least not while my kids are young. Maybe when we retire?)

the beauty of the moment.
Big travel plans to see new places in a year! Always savor the thought, 'what if I don't see this again'....Poignant thought. Enjoy this day.

Such beauty in our every day!
Your question whisked me home to the canyon. But the quote brought me back to my Mom.
Nice series of candid shots.

a daft scots lass, exactly. that's why i am interested in photographing pictures of daily life.
Who said every picture paints a thousand words? I feel this very way every time I see the wonderful images you capture.
I think I could stand a trip to New Mexico about now. Somewhere in the desert.
Great people photos! :)
ps I've just noticed your random quote box which puts me in mind of my favourite 'not the fizziest drink in the fridge'.
This is a wonderful photo essay. I really like your composition as well as the subjects of your pictures.
Stopping by from SITS to say hello!
Cute post. Makes me wonder what everyone else is wondering about. :)

Your photos scream LIFE. This is one of subjects that I really love in photography. Awesome selection.
It's strange when the feelings and the actions of a person can be seen in a photo!
aw, petty, thank you. it's a chinese saying, i think. xo
What a clever post! One truly can look at a photo and come up with a million stories to go with it!
sandra, i was just hanging from debenhams store's rolling stairs, and it wasn't easy at all, haha!
Interesting and fantastic photos...

Oh the joy of following one's heart and letting it take flight in or out of an airplane! ;)
I daydream this fantasy every time a jet flies over head. I wonder where they're going or where have they bee? Where do I want to go. :)
Probably the best way to take photographs.
Great phOtos!
I love taking pictures around, here and there. Just clicking the button.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics.

Photographs just among people.
Without any cause.
A very good job,

Fantastic collection; I love how candid these shots are. The little girl getting her face painted looks so cute!
Interesting pictures. Good perspectives and so nice moments
probably the very reason why i stay awake during the night.

I love to people-watch also... There's a story behind each person you pictured.... Makes one wonder what that story is, doesn't it????
I love to sit and people-watch at places like malls or airports... It's just so much fun...
Great post and photos AND words....
Hugs,
Betsy
Live with open eyes and an open mind, travel whenever possible.
Have a wonderful weekend Betty.

aw, welcome, fabio!!
While I love the fact that flying gets you places faster, the flying itself, I hate.

I would imagine then, in my mind, It never happened. Such is the way of separate reality. I loved the perspective overhead photos. Excellent job.
I love random pictures.
Prabably the best way to take photographs. =)
I wish I could obseve people so good like you.
Wonderful pictures!!!
hugs

Some great people watching...enjoyed the photos!
Hi Betty thanks for the trip and the inspiration. Carla
I hate planes, but I love taking trips in the car! I love this collection of photos. My favorite is the red tennies.
These photos tell countless stories.
Be well, Betty.

Beautiful and varied series. Without a doubt my favorite is the legs with ripped jeans.
