Five Things Tuesday
A random girl on the street. I love her skirt!
Hey there, hope everyone had a great weekend.
A statement piece can transform a plain living space into a cozy living room. Zara Home Accessories: Metal and wood world globe/Decorative animal figure.
Squash season. Winter squash is more than just pumpkins. Valued as a nourishing convenience food long before freezers came along, squashes will store for three months or more, bringing a splash of colour to the kitchen or wherever you like, and will last well once cut. Squash anyone?
Love this soup. Clearly, I'm on a soup binge right now.
French Macaron. How delicate do these guys look. I think macarons are one of the cutest treats around. I love their pastel colours.

I have always been a big fan of cherries (although this is the first time I've shared a cherry recipe on the site).
Have a sweet summer day! xx

My love of sandwiches knows no bounds. And while I love a good vegetable and cheese sandwich, I'm already tiring of the usual combos. But a friend recently introduced me to a creamy, rich sauce...pesto.

Five Likes Tuesday
Now that the summer is here and the weather gets hotter from day-to-day, a meatless dish seemed perfect for a hot, sunny day. So last Sunday I thought I would cook a quite light dinner.
The croque-madame is one of those excellent sandwiches that's rich tasting, and fit for any time of day. There's nothing like the smell and taste of a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. I'm fairly obsessed with it actually.
Mixed Green Salad with Avocado.
To make the dressing:
Mix together the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, and sea salt and pepper in a small bowl. Taste and add more olive oil or lemon juice if necessary.
Just before serving, whisk the dressing, pour over the salad leaves, toss and serve.
This salad is visually beautiful and colourful, the smell of the avocado is seductive, and it is meant to thrill your taste-buds! Not to toot any horns or anything, but I make really good salads.
Vegetable Spring Rolls (frozen) and Sweet Chili sauce.
Vanilla ice cream with cherry sauce and roasted mixed nuts.
