Lamp Talk

Lighting plays an aesthetic as well functional role for me. I like the forms of table lamps that are simplified, reflecting a welcoming
and comforting feel- a perfect mood of a drawing room or bedroom.
I love an eclectic mix of items for decorating my house.
When the lighting effect is successful and the lights are switched on your worries are melt away, then a magic occurs...
I think these lamps would fit in any room so perfectly. Don't you think? xx

I love lighting too. It is as much a part of decoration as a couch ever can be. With more variability. I absolutely adore those bare pulps hanging in your first photo. :)
Great posting!

"... magic occurs." That's absolutely right, Betty. The lighting is just as important as the other accents, and I've always believed it's the accents that make the home, not the main furniture. Lights can make it or break it, just about. Lovely photos... and I especially love the lamp with the white florals... I'm a sucker for flowers, but just in simple designs.

A very homey and cosy post, Betty. I think I'll go make me some tea, now... ;-)

Big hugs,
Nevine

Mood lighting is very important indeed. The Floral Ginger Jar is my favorite of those you've shown. But as always, your taste is impeccable.

Nice photos!I like the shapes of the lamps but when one of them burned by the much usage,we may have serious problems with the electricity.

My house is way too dark, but I'd rather take a beating than shop for lamps, etc. Actually, I'd rather take a beating, than shop, period.

For years now I wonder whether one is able to hear light - these surely would be worth listening to. A great Friday for you.

We have the oddest chandelier in our dining room. Kinda tacky, but it's close to my heart for that very reason!

Lighting is SO important. You are right. It can really set a mood. So you ever watch Candace Olsen's decorating show? I am in love with Chico because of what he can do with lighting. (Shhhh....don't tell HOB!)

My all time favorite is the "can light" better known as recessed lighting.

The lighthouse lamp is cute. Lighting is great when it is done well...I'm just not very good at doing it well ;)

If I could (and if it were practical), I'd light the entire house with fairylights alone.

Good lighting can make a house irresistibly charming. Aside from table lamps, it's also important to have charming lights outside our home to make it more appealing.
