walking in the rain

Trying to convey what I'm feeling in my images.

Lately, I've been drawn to photos that have painterly qualities. ABOVE This image shows "a walk in the rain". The texture in this image reminds me somewhat of an "impressionist" painting.

Five Things Tuesday

Silly as it may seem, the older I get, the more I appreciate the little things in life. When I'm feeling low or discouraged, there is no better cure for it than to get excited about something; doing the things that...

There's nothing more peaceful and relaxing than the soft glow of candle light.

I love making lists. The main reason I love making lists is because they make me feel in control, as well as more organised. The joy comes not only from writing a list, but from ticking things off.

Five Things Tuesday

Going on a nature hike on a crisp fall day; one of the many reasons to fall in love with Autumn. The colors were quite nice.

It's been a while since I posted a Five Things Tuesday post. I decided I wanted to start doing it again so why not start with some quotes and life lessons?
I came across these fabulous life lessons by Regina Brett recently and wanted to share them with you. Each one is a great reminder of what matters most in life.
I always look upon quotes, whenever I feel low; such things always help me to keep things in perspective.
In fact, quotes make much more sense now that I am getting older and (hopefully) wiser.

45 life lessons (and 5 to grow on) by Regina Brett. Such great wisdom to follow!
These sayings and quotes  have already changed my way of thinking about a few things in my life.

Hope your week is going well. Have a great Tuesday! xx

Getting ready for fall colour. I am absolutely in love with the colors of fall.
Bringing some fall to my kitchen.
Three-Cheese Baked Tagliatelle Pasta. I made this recipe the other night and everyone loved it. Very delicious, very simple and very easy to put together. Tasty alternative to the traditional Mac and Cheese.

I'll be sure to share the recipe on Friday. :)
How to easily cut, slice and peel an avocado. I really love avocados, but I never knew this way to cut them. Come to find out I've been slicing avocados the hard way.

(Life Quote by Regina Brett)

P.S. Here's a Cut and Dry post you may have missed:  Are we really making the most of the fall season?

A random girl on the street. I love her skirt!

Hey there, hope everyone had a great weekend.

Squash season. Winter squash is more than just pumpkins. Valued as a nourishing convenience food long before freezers came along, squashes will store for three months or more, bringing a splash of colour to the kitchen or wherever you like, and will last well once cut. Squash anyone?

Love this soup. Clearly, I'm on a soup binge right now.
French Macaron. How delicate do these guys look. I think macarons are one of the cutest treats around. I love their pastel colours.

Lacoste Playground  Magazine.

Well hello there! Hope your week is off to a good start

I've been a magazine lover all my life. I love magazines that are really creative and artistic in their visual style. I definitely enjoy the layout, content and images of my favourite magazines. I love art magazines, interior design magazines, photography magazines, and food magazines. I can't imagine not having certain magazines to hold and smell...
In this digital age print media still matters. I strongly believe there will always be a place for print media.
One of my favourite quotes. I need to keep reminding myself of that.
